Roguish Archetype – The Chronoklept

As we all know, time is precious. We’re all trying to save time, spend time, make time. Clearly, “time” is a currency. Rogues who follow the Chronoklept archetype are unique individuals who have developed psionic talents and reached this conclusion, enabling them to pluck at the strings of fate. After all, what harm could a little change to history bring?

Patron Release:

Monster Dossier – Ikharri

The Ikharri, worshippers of the Sunken Lady, once ruled a tremendous interplanar empire from the elemental plane of water until tragedy befell them as their patron was victim to an unknown fate. Though their coral palaces no longer stand, these amphibious creatures continue to crusade for any scrap of information as to what happened to the Sunken Lady generations ago.

  • Shard Tabletop Conversions – Shard is a 5e-centric virtual tabletop, and a great platform for 5e games. I am currently in the process of implementing character options from my back catalog as playable options within the Shard platform. As mentioned, these conversions will be free to Adventurers, as well as anyone who had previously purchased them. My plan at this stage is to convert subclasses in the order of download counts.

Hello, everyone,

As always, thank you for your continued support. I see that there are a lot of new names among the list of Patreon backers this month, and I hope that you’ll find all sorts of fun character options in the upcoming updates and the back catalog.

May is going to be a very interesting month – I’ve finished my classes for the semester, meaning that the largest time obligation on my plate has disappeared at least until the Fall! I’m hoping to use this now-unscheduled time to continue to improve my processes for writing the 5e content that you’ve all come to love. Additionally, as of writing this schedule, I just got my second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine yesterday. I didn’t have as rough of a reaction as I’d thought I would have, but I did have a rough time sleeping last night from some strange full-body chills, a sharp headache, and really specific repeating nightmares, so I was definitely glad I’d set myself aside some time to recuperate.

In the interest of structuring my work time more this summer, I’ve been reading Deep Work, by Cal Newport. The book takes a critical eye to productivity and ways to facilitate it, and I expect that I’ll be bringing some of its advice to future projects. Some of the book’s advice isn’t necessarily helpful for the content I write, but the author seems decently aware of the limitations of his methods in others’ fields and tries to draw inspiration from a wide range of disciplines. With any luck, the book will prove valuable to my workflow, which of course would mean even better game materials for all of you!

This month is a bit of a blast from the past – Firstly, I’ll be producing a PDF of the Chronoklept, a Roguish Archetype that uses psionic power to benefit themselves through paradoxical time travel. Secondly, I’ll be expanding upon the Ikharri, a monstrous race from Primordial Power, with new creature stat blocks and story material to create more challenging combat encounters for your players. The original Ikharri stat block creates fearsome brutes which can dash madly across a battlefield when provoked, but they and the creatures they command have far more tools at their disposal. Finally, I’m hoping to have my first playable package for Shard up sometime this month, my newly-loosened schedule permitting. As I’ve mentioned before, this content will be free to Adventurers and to anyone who has previously purchased the content in question.

This summer is going to be a fun one, and I hope that you and your game table are excited to join me in the adventures to come!

Best wishes,

Christopher
